Fairusda Titik Rizkia (41183402190155) The Influence of Work Discipline and Work Environment on Employee Turnover Intention at PT Pabrik Kertas Noree Indonesia xvii + 114 Pages + 27 Tables + 2 Figures + 19 Appendices, 2026 Keywords: work discipline, work environment, turnover intention, human resource management This study was conducted to examine the effect of work discipline and work environment on employees’ turnover intention at PT Pabrik Kertas Noree Indonesia. The background of this research is the increasing employee turnover rate over the past few years, which may affect workforce stability and reduce the company’s productivity. Identifying the factors that contribute to employees’ intention to leave is therefore considered important, particularly those associated with work discipline and workplace conditions. This research applied a quantitative approach using an associative research design. The population consisted of 281 employees, while 74 respondents were selected as the research sample through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique with the support of SmartPLS software. The findings revealed that work discipline has a significant negative effect on turnover intention, as indicated by a path coefficient of -0.569, a t-statistic value of 7.806, and a p-value of 0.000. Similarly, the work environment was also found to have a significant negative influence on turnover intention, with a path coefficient of -0.466, a t-statistic of 5.344, and a p-value of 0.000. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.564, indicating that work discipline and work environment were able to account for 56.4% of the variation in turnover intention, while the remaining proportion may be associated with other variables beyond the scope of this study. Based on these results, it can be concluded that stronger work discipline and a more supportive work environment contribute to reducing employees’ intention to leave the company. The findings are expected to provide useful insights for management in developing policies aimed at strengthening employee discipline and creating a more conducive workplace, which may help reduce turnover intention and support operational continuity.
