Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between arm power and hand eye coordination on the shooting skills of the game of petanque at the Unisma Bekasi club. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between Arm Power (XI) and Hand Eye Coordination (X2) on Petanque Game (Shooting Game) (Y) Skills in Club Unisma Bekasi athletes. This study uses a correlational quantitative research method, the sample of this study is 10 Unisma Bekasi Club Athletes using Purposive Sampling. Data collection by means of motion assessment techniques and recording the results. The instruments of this study are the arm power test using two-hand medicine ball put, the hand eye coordination test using the wall pass test, and the shooting game skill test (pétanque) was assessed with the results of shooting games with distances of 6m,7m,8m,9m. The data analysis in this study used simple and multiple correlations followed by the F test at a Significant Level of α = 0.05. Based on the analysis of research data, the results were obtained: (1) there is a significant relationship between arm power and Petanque skills (Shooting game) correlation value obtained 5.67 m standard deviation 1.188 determination coefficient = 0.319531 which means that the contribution of arm power to Petanque game skills (Shooting game) is 32%,(2) there is a significant relationship between hand eye coordination and Petanque game skill (Shooting Game) obtained from the correlation value rx2y = 23.60 times the standard devision 5,211. The variant of 27.156 determination coefficient = 0.551238 which means that the contribution of hand eye coordination to the Petanque game (Shooting game) skill is 55,12%,(3) In the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the significance value (Sig.) is 0.200. Since the Sig. value > 0.05, it can be concluded that the data for the shooting skill variable is normally distributed. Similar to the Shapiro-Wilk test, the Sig. value = 0.148, which is greater than 0.05, thus supporting the conclusion that the shooting skill data is normally distributed. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk test also confirm this with a value of Sig. = 0.002, which is much smaller than 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the hand-eye coordination data is not normally distributed.
