Abstract
ABSTRACTION Naufal Alfa Adnan, NPM: 41182191180007, “Efforts to Improve Short Service Skills in Badminton Game Using Drill Method for Students of SMP Negeri 30 Bekasi City” Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Islamic University “45” Bekasi The problem in this skipsi is whether the drill method can improve the short serve skills of badminton games in class VIII.5 students of SMP Negeri 30 Bekasi City?. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the drill method could improve the short serve skills of badminton in class VIII.5 SMP Negeri 30 Bekasi City. The method used in this research is classroom action research, while the subjects in this study are class VIII.5 students of SMP Negeri 30 Bekasi City, totaling 35 people. The results of the study showed an increase in the short serve ability of the badminton game, preliminary observations showed that only 12 students (34.3%) achieved the KKM score. In cycle 1 there was a significant increase showing the results of 16 students (45.7%) who achieved the KKM score. While in cycle 2, 28 students (80%) achieved the KKM score. In cycle 2, the results achieved were in accordance with the target, namely 75% of students had achieved the KKM score, in this case 80% of students had achieved the KKM score. , so it was not continued in cycle III. Furthermore, the author recommends that this drill approach learning model approach can be used as an alternative in learning the game of badminton, especially in learning short serve. The use of the drill approach learning model can motivate students to the learning process and student learning outcomes to be better and more effective, so that it can make it easier for students to come up with ideas or skills they have, besides that students also look enthusiastic in the implementation of learning.
