Abstract
Education is the process of changing the behavior and attitudes of individuals and groups towards personal maturity through the education and training process carried out. Final year students are required to complete a thesis as a graduation requirement. A thesis is a place to practice writing essays that demand accountability, not just a graduation formality. In the learning process in higher education, the process of working on a thesis is a task that is full of challenges. One of the problems that often occurs in final year students who are working on their thesis is when submitting a title or carrying out repeated revisions, this has an impact on the stress they will experience, resulting in low subjective well-being. Many students are less satisfied with their lives, rarely feel happy, and more often feel unpleasant emotions such as anger and anxiety. So this can be used as a basis that research on subjective well being is indeed important to do. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between social support and resilience on subjective well being in final year students at the Islamic University "45" Bekasi. This research is quantitative research, the subjects were 302 students at the Islamic University "45" Bekasi. Thus, the data analysis technique used uses Spearman rank correlation. The data collection method in this research is a psychological scale. The research instruments used were social support using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPPS), resilience using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and subjective well-being using the Scale Of Positive And Negative Experience (SPANE) and The Satisfaction scale: With Life Scale (SWLS). The instrument reliability test using the Cronbach's Alpha formula produced a ralpha value = 0.910 for the social support scale, a falpha value = 0.922 for resilience, and a ralpha value = 0.851 for subjective well being. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test of social support and subjective well being obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.528 with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (p<0.05), while the results of the Spearman rank correlation test of resilience and. subjective well being obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.525 with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The results of the multiple linear regression test between social support and resilience and subjective well-being show a value of F = 72.640, p=0.000 (p<0.05), which means that social support and resilience have an influence on subjective well-being. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.327 means that social support and resilience contribute 32.7% to subjective well-being, while 67.3% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research. Keywords: social support, resilience, subjective well being
