Abstract
Islamic University 45 Bekasi Communication Science Study Program Faculty of Communication, Letters and Languages 2023 Kharisma Aisyah/ 41182037190055 "Public Communication of the Bekasi City National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) on the One Home Dhuafa One Bachelor Scholarship Program (1RD 1S)". Under the guidance of Tatik Yuniarti. (137 Pages), (4 Tables), (25 Figures), (11 Appendices). This research is motivated by the existence of the “One Rumah Dhuafa Satu Bachelor” (1RD 1S) scholarship program organized by BAZNAS Bekasi City, which is not widely known by the people of Bekasi city. Based on this, public communication is needed so that the education program is known by the public, increasing the participation of applicants and getting more support from various parties. The aim of the study was to find out the public communication of BAZNAS in Bekasi City in an effort to socialize the 1RD 1S Scholarship program. The theory used is public communication according to DeVito. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that public communication carried out by the Bekasi City Baznas is the selection of communicators who have the appeal of influencing others to act as they wish. The message conveyed to the communicant seeks to convey an effective message by including informative, persuasive and educative messages. The target of the 1RD 1S program is SMA/SMK dhuafa children in Bekasi City so that the media used in conveying information face-to-face and social media which is currently a trend among teenagers can be widely accessible. Social media is an effective alternative media so that information dissemination and information fulfillment occurs. The Bekasi City Baznas uses two stages in the public communication process by embracing community leaders or someone who can influence the people around them in providing motivation and inviting them to take part in the 1RD 1S program. As a result, someone will feel more interested in something if the conveyer is an individual who has a relationship with him.
