ABSTRACT Cahya Kamelyani. 41182911180159. Implementation of the Hiwar Method in Increasing Islamic Religious Education Learning Motivation at SMA Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon. Islamic education study program. Islamic University "45" Bekasi. 2023 M/1444 H. The purpose of this study is to find out how the hiwar method is applied in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education at Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon High School and to increase student learning motivation in PAI subjects at Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon High School. Because the hiwar method has not been widely applied by many educational institutions, the authors conducted research at SMA Syarief Hidayatullah, one of the schools that applies the hiwar method. There are many problems which include implementation in learning, where student activity is still low, learning motivation is still very minimal, learning outcomes are not optimal in PAI learning, so the teacher evaluates using the hiwar method as a learning method. The research method in this thesis uses a qualitative method where data in the form of words is obtained by interview, data in the form of behavior or actions is obtained from observation or observation, and data in the form of writing is obtained from Documentation Studies at SMA Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon. The implementation of the hiwar method in the PAI learning process at Syarief Hidayatullah High School starts from the preliminary stage, core activities and closing. The results of this study are that the application of the hiwar method is acceptable and runs well by students at SMA Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon. In implementing the hiwar method of learning PAI at Syarief Hidayatullah Pekayon High School, researchers used the Learning Implementation Theory where there are 3 aspects that influence success or failure in implementing learning, namely program development, learning implementation and evaluation of learning outcomes. There are significant changes to students where student learning motivation, level of confidence and also the ability to discuss increases.
