Abstract

ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RECITATION METHOD IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' MOTIVATION AND LEARNING RESPONSIBILITY IN THE SUBJECT OF AQIDAH AKHLAK FOR GRADE 6 AT SEKOLAH DASAR ISLAM TERPADU HASANAH FATHIMIYAH CIKARANG BARAT Name: Muhammad Roiham Ramadhan Position: MPAI Student Email: roihan ramadhan628@gmail.com This study was conducted to explore the implementation of the recitation method in developing students’ motivation and learning responsibility in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak. The research was carried out through data analysis obtained during the research activities, with the researcher aiming to describe and explain the findings rationally and objectively, in accordance with the research objectives and problems. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a naturalistic phenomenological design, which seeks to identify human experiences related to a specific phenomenon in its natural context. Based on the collected data, the implementation of the recitation method significantly contributes to the development of students’ motivation and learning responsibility. The findings show that the recitation method is implemented through three main phases: assignment, task execution, and accountability. The assignment phase is designed to foster student independence and discipline. The task execution phase encourages both individual and group work, focusing on critical thinking and the application of moral values in real life. In the accountability phase, students present and discuss their tasks, which builds self-confidence and communication skills. Furthermore, the method has proven effective in enhancing students' intrinsic motivation, such as perseverance, discipline, enthusiasm, self-confidence, and achievement orientation. The recitation method also cultivates individual and group responsibility in completing learning tasks actively and reflectively. Supporting factors in the success of this method include teacher competence, student motivation, parental involvement, and group collaboration. However, challenges remain, such as limited teacher time and tasks that are not always adapted to students' diverse abilities.
