Abstract
This study examines the influence of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Stress on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees at PT X, a technology company in Jakarta. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data was collected from all 40 employees of the company through psychological scales measuring the three variables. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression after ensuring fulfillment of statistical assumptions. Results revealed that (1) Perceived Organizational Support has a significant positive effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (β = 0.292, p < 0.05), (2) Job Stress has a significant negative effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (β = -0.345, p < 0.05), and (3) collectively, these variables explain 54.8% of the variance in OCB (R² = 0.548). The findings confirm that when employees perceive greater organizational support, they demonstrate higher levels of extra-role behaviors that benefit the organization. Conversely, increased job stress diminishes employees' willingness to engage in citizenship behaviors. These insights suggest that organizations should focus on enhancing perceived organizational support while simultaneously managing workplace stress to foster OCB among employees. This research contributes to organizational behavior literature in the Indonesian context and provides practical implications for human resource management in technology companies experiencing digital transformation challenges.
