Abstract

EVALUATION OF THE OPEN HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM IN BEKASI DISTRICT Ahmad Khumaidi, Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam ahmadkhumaidi1@gmail.com This study aims to evaluate the Open High School Program in Bekasi Regency. This program was launched by the West Java Provincial Government to increase APK and APM in the region. It is proven, after this program was implemented, the APK and APM of West Java increased to 80.56 or entered the top ten. Whereas before implementing the West Java Province Open High School program, the APK and APM were at 67.56 or number two from the bottom after Papua Province. In this study, the author used a qualitative method. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This study aims to collect descriptive data related to the Open High School program. While the evaluation used is the evaluation of the context, input, process and product (CIPP) model. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and document studies. Qualitative data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman theory, which is carried out interactively and continues continuously until complete. The results of this study state that the Open High School program is running well. The existence of human resources such as managers and teachers has been determined by the principal so that they can carry out their duties optimally. The existence of TKB under the auspices of the main school SMAN 1 Tambun Selatan has also been fully recorded and neatly arranged. Learning in TKB is very effective because it is supported by teachers who are deliberately brought in by the TKB manager. However, even though the teaching and learning process runs smoothly, there are several notes from the results of the study, such as the purpose of rolling out the Open High School program is no longer in accordance with existing regulations. So there needs to be a revision of the legal umbrella to continue running the program so as not to violate the rules. The learning method in the form of assignments must also be reviewed. Because the age of high school children if the learning model is without routine guidance from teachers will not be optimal. The existence of TKB which is the spearhead of the Open High School program must get attention from the government. The contribution of this study is expected to be used as evaluation material by the West Java Provincial Education Office to improve the Open High School Program.
