Abstract

Cyberloafing is the misuse of the internet in the workplace. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-control and loneliness with Cyberloafing behavior among Generation Z employees at PT X. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative approach, with data analysis techniques using correlational statistics and linear regression. The instruments used in this study include the Cyberloafing scale, the self-control scale, and the loneliness scale. The results showed a negative correlation between self-control and Cyberloafing (r = -0.535; p < 0.000), meaning that the higher the level of selfcontrol an employee has, the lower their tendency to engage in Cyberloafing. Furthermore, a positive correlation was found between loneliness and Cyberloafing (r = 0.447; p < 0.001), indicating that the higher the level of loneliness felt by employees, the higher their level of Cyberloafing behavior. The coefficient of determination (R²) analysis showed that self-control contributed 35.3% to Cyberloafing behavior, while loneliness contributed 18.4%.
