Abstract

ABSTRACT Many people are less grateful for their appearance and body image so that individuals make various ways/efforts to make their appearance according to expectations Not only in women, body image problems are also felt by men. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between Subjective Well-being and gratitude for Body Image in Grade X and XI Students of SMK Karya Guna 1 Bekasi. This study is a quantitative research using purposive sampling technique. With the number obtained as many as 140 students from SMK Karya Guna 1 Bekasi. The data collection method in this study used interviews and psychological scales to measure Subjective Well-being, Gratitude, and Body image. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation revealed a significant relationship between Subjective Well-being to Body image of (r = -0.815, p = 0.000), as well as between Gratitude and body image (r = 0.817, p = 0.000). Multiple linear regression tests showed that the two variables together contributed 79.4% to body image, while 20.6% were influenced by other variables that were not studied Keywords: Subjective Well-being, Gratitude, Body image
