Abstract

Researchers have conducted research and observations on students at the Islamic University 45 Bekasi who have performed prayers, but it is not uncommon for them to not understand the meaning of prayer itself. This research aims to analyze the influence of prayer on individual social behavior using a transcendental communication approach. The methodology used is explanatory quantitative by applying stratified proportional sampling calculations. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents who were selected proportionally based on certain strata. The results of this research state that prayer has a positive and significant effect on individual social behavior, as indicated by a regression coefficient value of 0.420. Prayer has an effect of 57.2% on individual social behavior. Future researchers can examine more deeply the influence of prayer on individual social behavior using qualitative methodology.
