Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide information for companies regarding the importance of distribution layout to support the package distribution process to determine the level of actual layout efficiency with the Line Balancing method at the Shopee Express Tambun Selatan Warehouse. The research method used is a quantitative method, aiming to analyze social phenomena or functions about what is happening and seek information through the data obtained so that later the problem can be identified through the formation of facts using the line balancing method. The results of the analysis show that with 4 work stations and a total working time of the distribution process using a 57-minute cycle, the idle time is 10 minutes with a delay rate of 4.38% and an efficiency level of 95.62%, while using a 57.27-minute cycle, the idle time is 11.08 minutes with a delay rate of 4.84% with an efficiency level of 95.16%. The Shopee Express Tambun Selatan Warehouse needs to reduce work stations to increase the efficiency of the distribution process to 4 work stations.
