Abstract

Being busy studying while working causes psychological well-being to be disturbed and can cause various kinds of negative impacts. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of gratitude and optimism on the psychological well-being of working students. This research uses a quantitative approach method. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments in this research were The Gratitude Questionnaire-Six Item Form (GQ-6) compiled by McCullough, an optimism scale with a validity value of 0.39 0.71 and a reliability value of 0.784 and a psychological well-being scale with a validity value of 0.37- 0.63 reliability 0.883. In this study, the results of the regression test between gratitude and optimism on psychological well-being were obtained with a value of p = 0.008b (p < 0.05) and p = 0.031b (p < 0.05). These results show the influence of gratitude and optimism on the psychological well-being of working students.
