Abstract

This study aims to determine what strategies are carried out by Bank BPRS Artha Madani KC Bekasi in developing human resources to improve work ethic and whether the strategies carried out by human resources have been able to improve work ethic at Bank BPRS Artha Madani KC Bekasi. With this, the Islamic banking industry that has human resources can improve work ethic by providing training and education to employees. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Where the author collects data using observation, interview, and documentation methods through four informants at the Head of the Human Resources Section, Branch Manager, Head of Business Section, and Back Office, with the research location at Bank BPRS Artha Madani KC Bekasi. The results of this study indicate that: 1. Employee work ethic is part of the human resources of BPRS Artha Madani KC Bekasi bank which includes two work ethic factors, namely discipline and professional work results, which are still not optimal, because there are still some employees who violate the rules. 2. The strategy of BPRS Artha Madani KC Bekasi bank in developing human resources to improve work ethic is carried out by providing training or training and development, education, creating a positive work environment, responsibility, motivation, appreciation and recognition of good employee performance (appreciation), skills, discipline, issuing idea competitions for employees to strengthen their abilities, skills, knowledge, and attitudes. 3. BPRS Artha Madani has implemented a human resource development strategy to improve work ethic so that it has a positive impact on employees becoming more disciplined, secondly employees become more motivated to work, and thirdly have determination and perseverance to be able to complete work correctly and carefully.
