Abstract
This research was motivated by the problem of low understanding of science concepts among grade 3 students at SDN Pantai Makmur 02. The problems were; 1) Students are still less able to explain the subject they have learned, 2) Students are still less able to provide examples of the subject, 3) Students are still less able to classify the subject, 4) Students are still less able to give the conclusion of the subject they have learned. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to apply the SAVI Model (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) which aims to increase understanding of concepts in grade 3 science subjects at SDN Pantai Makmur 02. The research method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of two cycles, with 32 students as subjects and each cycle consists of three meetings. And the cycle includes four stages consisting of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. This data collection uses collection techniques in the form of written tests and observations. The success criteria in this research is 80% with a predetermined KKM value of 75. Based on the research results from each cycle, an increase in the classical percentage in pre-cycle activities was 34% with an average value of 67, for cycle Iit was 66% with an average value of 79, and for cycle II it was 88% with anaverage value 87. The percentage increase in understanding of concepts from pre-cycle to cycle 2 increased by 54% in grade 3 science subject at SDN Pantai Makmur 02 through the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) model.
