During the academic process, students often get several assignments from the teacher which aim to hone and know students' abilities. This is where the emergence of a student's academic behavior. The diversity of attitudes that students have in dealing with and completing their tasks. There are those who immediately do the work in accordance with the allotted time. But there are also those who procrastinate in doing assignments, this behavior is called academic procrastination. The demands and problems encountered while working on assignments are the reasons students procrastinate. This behavior unconsciously becomes a social phenomenon that occurs in various spheres, especially in the world of education. Which is where the behavior of procrastination has been considered as a common thing and commonplace for students to do when doing assignments. The existence of delaying behavior creates an attitude of indiscipline in students, of course this is a negative behavior that should not be carried out by students. This can have an impact not only on the students, which will affect the decline in learning achievement, but can also affect the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in these educational institutions. Therefore how much researchers want to do research on this matter. Where aims to determine the relationship between variables and to determine whether academic stress and fear of failure can affect academic procrastination. This research uses correlational quantitative research methods. The subjects of this study were students of MAN 2 Cirebon class 10 - 11. The sampling technique used in this study was the Non Probability Accidental Sampling technique and the number of samples obtained was 138 students who used the help of the G-Power software application with an effect size of 0.3, error prob 0.05, and power 0.95. This data collection method uses a questionnaire. The measurement instrument uses a psychological scale consisting of an academic stress scale, a fear of failure scale, and an academic procrastination scale. The validity test in this study uses content validity and construct validity. The reliability test used the Cronbach alpha formula so as to produce a value of ralpha = 0.849 for the academic stress scale, ralpha = 0.881 for the fear of failure scale, and ralpha = 0.931 for the academic procrastination scale. Test data analysis using Spearman rank correlation test and simple regression analysis test using SPSS version 25 software application for windows. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test on academic stress on academic procrastination show the value of r = 0.305, P = 0.000 (p>0.05), which means that academic stress has a significant positive correlation with academic procrastination. So it can be concluded that the higher the student's academic stress, the higher the level of student's academic procrastination behavior as well. Then the Spearman rank correlation test on fear of failure on academic procrastination showed 0.198 (p>0.05). It means that there is no correlation. So it can be concluded that fear of failure has an insignificant relationship with academic procrastination. Then for the results of a simple regression test on academic stress on academic procrastination, the equation Y= 72.744+0.317X with a value of F = 9.125, and a significance value of 0.003 (p <0.05), it can be interpreted that academic stress affects academic procrastination. And the value of the coefficient of determination is 0.063, meaning 6.3%, meaning that students' academic stress contributes 6.3% to students' academic procrastination behavior, while 93.7% is influenced by other factors not examined. So the conclusion from the simple regression results obtained that academic stress has a less significant effect on academic procrastination behavior in MAN 2 Cirebon students.
