Abstract

Of course, it is no stranger to students with academic help seeking behavior, namely seeking academic help is a process where someone tries to seek help when they are motivated to achieve something in the learning process. So that's what makes many students seek academic assistance to provide maximum results in their learning. This research aims to explore the relationship between self-regulated learning, extraversion personality, and academic help seeking behavior in undergraduate students at the Islamic University "45" Bekasi. Correlational quantitative research methods were used with proportional stratified random sampling techniques on 370 students. The research instrument involved interviews and psychological scales to measure academic help seeking, self-regulated learning, and extraversion traits. The instrument reliability results show an adequate level of reliability. Rank-Spearman correlation analysis revealed a significant relationship between self-regulated learning and academic help seeking behavior (r = 0.498, p = 0.001), as well as between extraversion personality and academic help seeking behavior (r = 0.282, p = 0.001). The multiple linear regression test shows that these two variables together contribute 35.5% to academic help seeking behavior, while 64.5% is influenced by other variables not studied.
