Abstract

This research is motivated by the rise of the phenomenon that occurs, namely hoax information in society, especially social media. From the use of social media, one of which is Instagram as an information medium, Instagram @infobekasi, which is a media for public information about Bekasi, needs to be managed social media so that it is in accordance with its goals and functions, one of which is to avoid hoax information. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of social media @infobekasi. The theory used is Charis Heure's 4C (Context, Communication, Collaboration, and Connection) social media management theory. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that @infobekasi has implemented social media management which consists of (1) Context management using simple words to everyday language and explanatory information so that people can easily understand information. (2) Management of communication by presenting complete information to the addition of image or video documentation to support the information. (3) Management of collaboration by joining whatsapp groups, Community,Media Deni Ardini (Bekasi Founder Info), and paid information or advertisements. (4) Management of connections by building two-way communication, accommodating community criticism and suggestions, as well as asking for news activities and playing games.
