Abstract
Basically, every human being wants to have a perfect and balanced life where they can feel happiness and peace. One of the things that makes someone happy is shown through subjective well-being. However, in several companies there are still many companies that have not paid attention to the welfare of their employees. Subjective well-being is influenced by gratitude and work life balance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between gratitude and work life balance on subjective well-being. This research is a quantitative study with a correlational design and the number of samples is 70 employees from a population of 100 employees of PT TOYOLON Sewing Threads. The sampling technique uses population studies. Methods of data collection using interviews and psychological scales, namely the gratitude scale, the work life balance scale, and the subjective welfare scale using the Likert scale model. Test technique using Spearman Rho and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the description of the gratitude variable are dominated by the high category (61.3%), the work life balance variable is dominated by the high category (48.1%), and the subjective welfare variable is dominated by the high category (85.7%). The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between gratitude and subjective well-being show that there is a significant positive relationship with a correlation coefficient = 0.584 and a significant value = 0.000 (p <0.05). The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test between work life balance and subjective well-being show that there is a significant positive relationship with a correlation coefficient = 0.596 and a significant value = 0.000 (p <0.05). The results of multiple linear regression tests between gratitude and work life balance on subjective well-being show a value of F=29.809 with a significance=0.000 (p<0.05), meaning that gratitude and work life balance have an influence on subjective well-being. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.471, it means that gratitude and work life balance contribute 47.1% to subjective well-being, while 52.9% are influenced by other factors not examined by researchers.
