Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of standard time required by the welding production department at PT Metindo Erasakti in completing the manufacture of Reinforcement Sub. Assy Front Bumper products. To find out what inhibiting factors cause the production process not to reach the target set by the production department company at PT Metindo Erasakti.To find out the labor needs that are in accordance with the workload set by the company PT Metindo Erasakti. The method used in this study is a time study, namely analyzing working time standards and labor efficiency to increase productivity, it is hoped that with this the researcher can describe the problem solving studied according to the type and source of data. This type of research uses a qualiitative descriptive method. Data sources are obtained from primary data that can be obtained directly from the company and secondary data obtained from book sources and other media. The results of this study are to determine the standard working time needed by workers in producing Reinforcement Sub products. Assy Front Bumper at PT Metindo Erasakti as follows: to produce Reinforcement Sub products. Assy Front Bumper researchers got a standard time of 14 minutes with a total labor requirement of 2 workers. This time is longer than the ideal time set by the company, which is 10 minutes with a total of 4 workers needed. Then from the results of the causal diagram, the causal factors did not achieve the production target of the Reinforcement Sub. Reinforcement product. Assy Front Bumper is caused by human, method, material, machine, and environmental factors. The most dominant factor is caused by the human factor because there are still workers who are less responsive in handling machine problems, lack of discipline and lack of employee ability, so that the researcher gave a proposal to PT Metindo Erasakti to carry out training for workers to improve the ability of workers and sanction workers who lack discipline.
