Abstract
This study aims to determine the description of self-regulated learning in students who live in Islamic boarding schools who practice academic procrastination. This research will use a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects were MAN students who lived in Islamic boarding schools. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. For data analysis the Milles and Huberman models. This study found that the subjects procrastinated academically because they found it difficult to manage time when faced with activities at the cottage, besides that the study also found factors that led to the emergence of procrastination in subjects where the delay was due to feeling tired or exhausted after doing activities at the cottage such as reciting or memorizing, the emergence of a feeling of laziness to start working on assignments, delaying to find information that is more relevant to the task they have, and delaying because the deadline time is still long.
