Abstract

Poetry writing skills are very important in learning Indonesian in elementary schools, because in writing poetry students can pour out their hearts, thoughts, feelings, imagination and creativity. This study aims to describe the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method to poetry writing skills in elementary school students. The problem in this study is based on the results of research that poetry writing skills in elementary schools are still low, due to limited ideas and imagination in writing poetry and lack of innovative use of learning models and media and less involving students in learning. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This research was conducted by collecting data using various journals related to the research variables needed. The data sources used in this research are journals or scientific articles related to the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method to poetry writing skills in elementary school students using the Class Action Research (CAR) method. - the student average is 74.71 and in the second cycle the average value of the students increases again to 81.71 and the results of the research using experimental research methods (quasi-experimental) based on the results of hypothesis testing can be seen tcount > ttable or 2.7936 > 1, 68, so Ho is rejected. The indicators in poetry writing skills are title/theme, word choice (diction), rhyme, imagination, mandate, imagery, language style and typography. Thus, the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method has a significant effect on poetry writing skills in elementary school students. And it can be said to be very effective in applying the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning method to poetry writing skills.
