Abstract

ESTABLISHMENT OF STUDENT'S RELIGIOUS CHARACTER BASED ON TEACHER'S HABITATION AND EXAMPLE AL-WATHONYAH 20 Formation of Religious Character of Students Based on Teaching and Example Teachers in MTs Al-Wathoniyah 20 Bekasi Debi Nurhidayatullah Graduate School Master in Islamic Religious Education Islamic University “45” Bekasi debinurhidayatullah@gmail.com ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the formation of student character based on habituation and example, teachers play a major role in realizing a moral and spiritual revolution in the world of education. Participants in this study were students of MTs Al-Wathoniyah 20 Bekasi. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, then drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is done by conducting triangulation methods. The results showed that there were 10 kinds of characters formed in MTS Al-Wathoniyah 20. Then the character building based on the habituation and example of teachers was carried out with various positive activities at school. The form of implementation of the formation of the religious character of students based on exemplary at MTS Al-Wathoniyah 20. And the success of forming religious characters based on habituation and exemplary teachers at MTS Al-Wathoniyah 20, has succeeded in forming the character of religious students, namely discipline, diligent in reading the Koran, respecting others , increasing awareness of the school environment, and obeying school regulations.
