Abstract

ABSTRACT Muhammad Trimulyawan (41183402190176) Analysis of the Effect of Human Resource Training and Development on Employee Productivity at Goodwillie Barbershop, Bekasi. xii+ 113 pages + 22 tables + 14 appendix 13 Keywords: Training, Human Resource Development, Employee Productivity, Barbershop This study aims to analyze the effect of human resource (HR) training and development on employee productivity at Goodwillie Barbershop, Bekasi. The background of this study is based on the importance of improving the quality of human resources in facing increasingly fierce competition in the barbershop service industry. HR training and development are considered factors capable of improving employee skills, abilities, and productivity in providing customer service. The research method used was a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study was all 30 employees of Goodwillie Barbershop, Bekasi, so the sampling technique used was saturated sampling. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, while data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 31. The results showed that the training variable (X₁) partially had a positive but insignificant effect on employee productivity (Y), with a significance value of 0.509 and a calculated t-value of 0.669. Meanwhile, the human resource development variable (X₂) had a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, with a significance value of 0.003 and a calculated t-value of 3.210. Simultaneously, human resource training and development had a significant effect on employee productivity, with a calculated F-value of 10.051 and a significance value of 0.001. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) of 0.384 indicated that human resource training and development explained 38.4% of employee productivity, while the remaining 61.6% was influenced by factors outside the study.
