Abstract

Motivation is an important factor that can influence students' interest in learning. One thing that certainly requires motivation is writing skills. This writing skill is considered difficult to master, even though it is very important for writers to write down an idea and also analyze various problems. This research aims to find out and describe how to increase students' English writing motivation using blank comic strips. The sample in the study consisted of 55 students. Based on the research results, it is known that Intrinsic Motivation (Y1) and Identified Regulation (Y4) are the most effective aspects in increasing students' English writing motivation, while External Regulation (Y2), Introjected Regulation (Y3) and Integrated Regulation (Y5) are aspects that not prominent so it is not effective in increasing students' English writing motivation.
