Abstract

Currently, companies do not provide fair compensation for non-permanent employees and do not intend to develop and support employees in actualizing their potential. This study aims to determine the effect of psychological well-being and grit on work engagement. This research is a quantitative study involving 100 employees of PT Astra International Daihatsu using a saturated sample. The data collection method was conducted through interviews and questionnaires, with psychological measurement scales that included a psychological well-being scale, a grit scale, and a work attachment scale. Scale reliability tests using Cronbach's Alpha formula showed a value of r=0.789 for psychological well-being, r=0.835 for grit, and r=0.825 for work engagement. The data analysis test used normality and linearity tests and hypothesis testing, namely the Spearman rank correlation test and multiple regression. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between the variables of psychological well-being and grit on work engagement. There is an influence between the variables of psychological well-being and grit on work engagement. Keywords: psychological well-being, grit and work engagement.
