Abstract

Individualization (TAI) Dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Kelas IV SDI Al-Hamidiyah Bekasi. This research was motivated by the students' low understanding of concepts in class IV Mathematics learning at SDI Al-Hamidiyah Bekasi. The problems faced are: students have difficulty explaining the material they have studied, students have not been able to group objects based on certain properties according to the concept of fractions, students have not understood examples and non-examples of fractions, students have not been able to solve problems well and students have not able to present the concept of fractions into various mathematical representations. This research aims to improve understanding of concepts in fourth grade Mathematics subjects using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model. The research method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research) which consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, assessment and reflection. The research subjects were 11 class IV students at SDI Al-Hamidiyah Bekasi, consisting of 5 female students and 6 male students. Data collection was carried out through observation and written tests in the form of descriptions to measure understanding of concepts. Data analysis was carried out using the success indicator in this research if 80% of the total number of students achieved the predetermined KKM score, namely 75. Based on the research results from each cycle, an increase in the classical percentage in cycle I activities was 45% with an average score of 73, in cycle II it was 91% with an average score of 88. Increased understanding of students' concepts with the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model from cycle I to cycle II in Mathematics learning was 46%. Thus, it can be concluded that the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model can improve conceptual understanding in class IV students at SDI Al-Hamidiyah Bekasi.
