Abstract

Work engagement plays an important role in organizations, because it can help optimize the role of employees in running the organization. Apart from that, a person's perception of the company where he works is also appropriate considered to support the success of a company as well how someone can interpret the work itself so that it will appear a sense of security and peace and a person feels more meaningful when doing it the job. The aim of this research is to find out the influence perception of organizational support and meaning of work on work engagement. This research is quantitative research with a research design non-parametric correlation. The subjects numbered 20 employees and came from PT. Basst Pratama Teknik. Thus, the sampling technique using population studies. Data collection methods in this research are psychological scales and interviews. Research instruments used is the Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES), a survey of perceptions organizational support, work-life questionnaire using the Likert model. The instrument reliability test using the Cronbach's Alpha formula produces results mark r alpha was 0.920 for the 21 item work engagement scale. Mark alpha amounting to 0.966 for 34 items on the scale of perceptions of organizational support and value r alpha was 0.948 with 18 items for the meaning of work scale. Data analysis on This research uses Spearman rank correlation and multiple regression. Results of multiple regression tests between perceptions of organizational support and the meaning of work on work engagement shows a value of B= 44.829, p=0.000 (p<0.05), which means the perception of organizational support and the meaning of work on work engagement. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.692 means that perception organizational support and meaning of work contribute an influence of 69.2% on work engagement, while 30.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
