Abstract

This research is motivated by the many cases found in elementary school students who have not been able to read at the beginning, during learning students still imitate the teacher's words, cannot distinguish two combinations of letters, even when reading students are still confused and stutter when told to read and lack the use of learning media that makes students less enthusiastic about participating in learning. The purpose of this study was to obtain an analysis related to the use of flashcard media on the early reading skills of elementary school students. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which is a research method that carries out a process of identifying, assessing and interpreting available research evidence. From the results of review analysis in research journals on the effect of flashcard media on beginning reading skills, especially elementary school students, it can be seen from the results of research analysis including: 1) Based on research methods, 2) Based on the year of publication of research journals, 3) based on research journal areas. So it can be concluded that flashcard media is very influential on the beginning reading skills of elementary school students.
