Abstract

Reading comprehension is very important for students to learn primary school. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the learning model, namely the multiliteracy learning model on the reading comprehension of elementary school students in Indonesian subjects. The problem that occurs is the low ability of students' reading comprehension. The problem is that the learning model used is not appropriate and students cannot answer questions about reading in their own words. In overcoming these problems the application of the multiliteracy learning model can be the right solution. Through the research method used, namely Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with Google Scholar and One Search databases based on the years published 2017-2022, 10 journals were obtained that match the inclusion criteria, namely indexed by the Google Scholar database and One Cari, journal published 2017 - 2022. (last 5 years), elementary school students, language lessons Indonesia, a journal according to the topic of research discussion. Based on the research results, the multiliteracy model can improve reading comprehension of elementary school students, especially in upper grade students because upper grade students are better able to read long texts and have more competence in reading comprehension. The multiliteracy model makes students able to understand the content of what is read, even students are able to express the contents of the reading in their own language. The multiliteracy model can also be used with the help of learning media to make it more interesting, namely big book media. Thus the use of the multiliteracy learning model has a significant effect on reading comprehension students in primary schools in Indonesian subjects.
