Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memberi gambaran mengenai penggunaan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis sekolah dasar, yang melatar belakangi terjadi masalah pada rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penyebab yang membuat hal itu terjadi karena siswa kurang dibiasakan berbicara serta siswa yang hanya menyimak penjelasan guru dan kurang adanya interaksi, dalam arti guru masih menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education menjadi salah satu dari solusi yang ditawarkan peneliti, dikarenakan pendekatan RME ini melibatkan siswa untuk berinteraksi antar kelompok ataupun individu, siswa berkesempatan dapat menyampaikan ide, dan siswa dapat termotivasi belajar. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Cara yang dilakukan berupa mengidentifikasi, menilai, dan menginterpretasi seluruh temuan artikel pada kriteria inklusi berupa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis menggunakan pendekatan realistic mathematics education siswa sekolah dasar. Setelah menyaring artikel jurnal berdasarkan penilaian kriteria inklusi, peneliti sudah mengumpulkan 8 jurnal sesuai kata kunci dari 9 tahun terakhir. Dari ke-8 jurnal yang peneliti dapatkan berdasarkan tahun terdapat 1 jurnal ditahun 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, serta 2 jurnal ditahun 2020, 2021. Terdapat perbedaan metode penelitian diantaranya PTK 3 jurnal, kajian pustaka 2 jurnal, kuasi eksperimen 1 jurnal, eksperimen 1 jurnal, deskriptif kualitatif 1 jurnal. Terdapat kelas rendah dan tinggi (kelas rendah 2 jurnal kelas II dan III, kelas tinggi 4 jurnal kelas IV dan V), penelitian menggunakan media pembelajaran 2 jurnal dan tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran 6 jurnal, serta perbedaan pembahasan pada materi pembelajaran. Walaupun terdapat perbedaan pada 8 jurnal yang sudah di analisis, tetapi ke-8 jurnal tersebut memberi gambaran peningkatan pada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sekolah dasar dengan dipraktikannya pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education. The Purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to mathematical communication skills in elementary schools, which is the background of the problem of low mathematical communication skills. The cause that makes it happen is because students are ess accustomed to speaking and students who only listen to the teacher’s explanation and lack of interaction, in the sense that the teacher still uses a conventional approach. The Realistic Mathematics Education approach is one of the solutions offered by researchers, because this RME approach involves students to interact between groups or individuals, students have the opportunity to convey ideas, and students can be motivated to learn. Researchers used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) research method. The method is to identify, assess, and interpret all article findings on the inclusion criteria in the form of improving mathematical communication skills using the realistic mathematics education approach for elementary school students. Based on the analysis, the researchers collected 8 journals, including 1 journal in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2 journals in 2020, 2021. Differences in research methods PTK 3 journals, literature review 2 journals, quasi experiment 1 journal, experiment 1 journal, qualitative descriptive 1 journals. Low and high classes (grades II, III, IV, and V), journals that only use learning media 2 journals, and differences in discussion on learning materials. Although there are differences in the 8 journals that have been analyzed, the 8 journals provide on overview of the improvement in mathematical communication skills of elementary school students by practicing the realistic mathematics education approach.
