Abstract
Recruiting teaching staff is intended to help schools develop their schools, therefore schools must provide comfort to teaching staff so as to trigger the formation of psychological well being so that teaching staff are able to give their best performance to schools. This study looked at psychological well being with internal factors and external factors from teaching staff. The internal factor discussed in this study is mindfulness and the external factor discussed is the quality of work life. This study aims to determine the effect of mindfulness and quality of work life on psychological well being. This research is a quantitative research with a correlational statistical design and this research uses a population study where the researcher uses the entire existing population, namely 57 teaching staff at the Global White Lotus Foundation. The data collection method used a questionnaire/questionnaire, the research instrument used was a psychological scale of meaningfulness (mindfulness), quality of work life, and psychological well-being using a Likert scale. Spearman's rank correlation results on the meaningfulness variable (mindfulness) with psychological well-being resulted in a coefficient of r=0.725 with a significance value of Sig=0.000 (p <0.05) which was declared significant. The results of Spearman's rank correlation on the variable quality of work life and psychological well being yield a coefficient of r=0.551 with a significance value of Sig=0.000 (p <0.05) which is stated to be significant, which means that the two variables have a significant relationship. The results of multiple linear regression tests have the effect of mindfulness and quality of work life on psychological well being, resulting in an F of 47,778 with a significant value of p=0.000, meaning that mindfulness and quality of work life have an influence on psychological well being. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.639 which means mindfulness and quality of work life have an influence on psychological well being.
