Abstract

Poor nutrition is a very severe body condition due to experiencing a lack of nutrients in the body for a long period of time. The prevalence of malnourished and malnourished toddlers did not show significant changes. Sukajaya Village is one of the locus villages for stunting in 2021, so it requires prevention and special treatment to reduce stunting rates and children can return to normal. The purpose of this study was to determine the health promotion of village midwives in handling stunting cases in Sukajaya Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency using descriptive qualitative methods and data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and documentation. The theory used refers to health promotion, namely community empowerment, advocacy and social assistance. The results showed that midwife health promotion in handling stunting cases was carried out by preventing it in advance at each posyandu in the Sukajaya Kecamat Cibitung Village area, Bekasi Regency with counseling. Handling is carried out to monitor and accompany stunted children in the recovery process, educated continuously about good food intake for children so that their appetite is high.
