Abstract

Ilham Romadhona Lubis, NPM: 41182191200101, The effect of mental imagery training on smash accuracy among badminton athletes at the Koencir Badminton Club, Bekasi City. Thesis. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Islamic University 45. The aim of this research was to find out whether there was an effect of mental imagery training on smash accuracy among badminton athletes at the Koencir Badminton Club, Bekasi City. The research method used in this research is the experimental method. This research was conducted at the Mutiara Baru sports hall located at Jalan Pramuka No.26 RT.004 RW.002, Rawalumbu District, Bekasi City, West Java. The population in this study were 35 badminton athletes at the Koencir Badminton Club. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique and the number of samples used was 14 people. For data analysis the author used the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that mental imagery training to increase smash accuracy has a significant impact on increasing smash accuracy in routine practice at the Koencir badminton club in Bekasi City. The results of the hypothesis test show the calculated T value is 6.74. Compared with the critical value for degree t = 1.76, it is proven that there is an increase in smash ability with mental imagery training which significantly influences the performance of Bekasi city badminton club coencir athletes.
