Abstract
This study aims to examine the improvement of elementary school students’ listening skills through the use of audio media in Indonesian Language learning. Listening skills are one of the essential language skills, however, in practice, many student still experience difficulties in understanding orally delivered information. Therefore, appropriate and engaging learning media are needed to support listening media are needed to support listening activities, one of which is audio media. This study employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by reviewing various relevant research articles relate to 10 years (2016-2025) the use of audio media in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level. Data sourceswere obtained from national journals published within a specific period and analyzed systematically based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis focused on identifying research findings regarding the effectiveness of audio media in improving students’ listening skills. The results of the review indicate that the use of audio media generally contributes to improving elementary school students’listening skills. Audio media helps students maintain focus during listening activities, enhances comprehension of orally presented materials, and creates a more engaging learning atmosphere. Therefore, audio media can be considered an effective alternative learning skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level.
