Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of Emotional Intelligence and Work Environment on the Job Satisfaction of Generation Z Employees in Bekasi City. The population in this study were Generation Z employees in Bekasi City, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The research sample consisted of 97 respondents. The research method used in this study was quantitative. The data used was primary data collected through a questionnaire distributed to Generation Z employees working in Bekasi City. The data was processed using Path Analysis with the help of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 23. The results showed that the emotional intelligence variable had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (β1 = 0.213 sig = 0.12). The work environment variable had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (β1 = 0.376 sig = 0.000). The variables of emotional intelligence and work environment together have a simultaneous and significant effect on job satisfaction by 46.1 percent, with the remainder influenced by other factors not included in the regression residual. These results indicate that the variables of emotional intelligence and work environment can be used in a multiple regression model to predict job satisfaction.
