Abstract
Effective learning requires innovative approaches that can actively engage students and improve their learning outcomes. One instructional model with such potential is the problem posing learning model. This model encourages students not only to solve problems but also to formulate their own, which is believed to deepen understanding and stimulate higher-order thinking. This research aims to specifically investigate how the problem-posing learning model is implemented within the context of Islamic Religious Education, the extent to which this implementation contributes to an increase in student activity and learning outcomes, the positive impacts arising from its application, and the challenges or obstacles educators might face during the implementation process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The phenomenological approach was chosen to identify and understand human experiences related to the implementation of the problem-posing learning model in a natural setting. Research data were obtained through analysis techniques applied to data collected during the research activities. The researcher endeavors to explain and present the findings rationally and objectively, in accordance with the established research objectives and problems. Based on the data successfully collected, the implementation of the problem-posing learning model in enhancing student activity and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education was carried out through the following steps: the educator formed groups consisting of 4 to 5 students; subsequently, the educator explained the relevant material after explaining the material, the educator provided sufficient practice questions next, the educator asked each student to create 1 to 2 questions; the educator randomly asked students to present their self-created questions in front of the class; and as a closing activity, the educator assigned individual homework. As a result, student learning outcomes improved and students showed high activity during the learning process. Keywords : Problem Posing Learning Model, Learning Activity, Learning Outcome
