Abstract

ABSTRACT The Principal’s Leadership Strategy to Improve Teachers Interpersonal Competence through a Resource-Based Approach at SDIT Fathul Islam, East Cikarang, Bekasi Regency Listiowati Program Studi Manajemen Pendidikan Islam listiow183@gmail.com Teachers' interpersonal competence is an important aspect in creating a positive and collaborative learning environment in schools. This study aims to describe the leadership strategies of school principals in improving teachers' interpersonal competence through a resource-based approach. Teachers' ability to communicate and collaborate effectively is crucial for fostering a positive and conducive school climate. The leadership of school principals plays a key role in enhancing this competence, which is essential for building a collaborative atmosphere among teachers, students, and parents. This study aims to describe the strategies employed by school principals to enhance teachers' interpersonal competence through the management and optimization of resources. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, conducted at SDIT Fathul Islam in Cikarang Timur, Bekasi District. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings show that the principal applied several strategies, including continuous professional development, facilitation of collaborative programs among teachers, and the optimization of both internal and external school resources. Additionally, the principal played an active role in creating a work culture that supports open communication and mutual respect. These strategies were proven effective in enhancing teachers' ability to build positive interpersonal relationships with their colleagues, students, and parents. The resource-based approach implemented by the principal has had a significant impact on improving teachers' interpersonal competence, especially in terms of empathy, effective communication, and teamwork.
