Abstract

Cisolok Geyser is a geosite of the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark which still has problems in terms of management and arrangement of the area, levies, and collaboration between stakeholders, so it is necessary to study the extent of the management collaboration. Sukabumi Regency Regional Regulation Number 11 of 2016 is the basis for tourism management together with Sukabumi Regent Regulation Number 25 of 2021 concerning the geopark masterplan as the basis for the formation of collaborative governance in geyser management with the aim of studying the extent to which the role of collaborative governance in geyser management is running. This study aims to analyze the management of Cisolok Geyser tourism in UNESCO Global Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu, analyze collaborative governance in the management of Cisolok Geyser tourism, and community participation regarding collaborative governance in the management of Cisolok Geyser tourism in UNESCO Global Geopark Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu. This study uses a constructivism paradigm with qualitative methods and case study research design. Data acquisition techniques in this study use observation, in-depth interviews, literature studies, and triangulation. The informant recruitment technique in this study uses purposive sampling with data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that collaborative governance in the management of the Cisolok Geyser is still not optimal. Stakeholders from the government/managers, community, academics, and media, although they have a shared commitment, there are still differences in shared understanding, and community participation in its management is still at the tokenism stage, with government/manager elements dominating the collaboration process and still showing egocentrism causing the management of the geyser to not be optimal and still far from the global geopark geosite standards.
