They only convey a lesson but they do not apply it in their daily life. Seeing the problem of education, especially regarding ethical issues among students and teachers, the author wants to discuss further about ethical issues by examining the thoughts of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari This research was conducted using library research, which is a form of effort to obtain data or information needed by the author and analyze a problem through library sources. The primary data sources in this study used the work of Hasyim Asy'ari, namely the book of Adabul alim wal'muta'alim and secondary data obtained through the opinions of experts in various libraries, scientific papers, results of previous scientific studies, which are related to the discussion. essay. The ethical education that he describes in his book contains eight chapters, but the author only discusses learning ethics, student ethics to teachers, teaching ethics, student ethics to teachers as well as ideal educator figures. In addition, his thoughts in the book adabul alim wal muta'alim have relevance to the 2003 National Education System Law and answer all problems that occur.
