Abstract

This research examines counseling communication strategies in dealing with adolescent mental health. This research is based on the number of adolescents who experience mental health problems but still few of them realize that it is important to access counseling services. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of counseling communication in handling mental health cases and counseling responses regarding the handling of mental health cases. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, data collection is done through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that many aspects are needed to support the process of handling mental health in adolescents. The importance of creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere and place for counselors, counselors who are competent in their fields, to the right communication strategy. The counseling communication strategy has several aspects, namely: interpersonal communication, counseling techniques, the role of parents, psychiatric therapy, education. and understanding of Mental Health.
