Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of the times is getting more modern, people tend to choose to follow the latest fashion trends as a lifestyle. Someone who likes the automotive field wants to change the appearance of the motorbike to support his lifestyle. The purpose of this research is to explore the influence between social identity and fear of missing out with lifestyle on perpetrators of motorbike modification. Correlational quantitative research method with non probability sampling technique of quota sampling type. Consists of 150 respondents to the perpetrators of motorbike modification in Bekasi Regency. Data preliminary studies, interviews and psychological questionnaires lifestyle variables, social identity, and fear of missing out. Cronbach Alpha reliability is respectively ralpha=0.857(lifestyle), ralpha=0.835(social identity), and ralpha=0.882(fear of missing out). Hypothesis testing using Spearman Rank correlation. The first hypothesis found a significant relationship between social identity and lifestyle (r=0.501,p=0.000). The second hypothesis, a significant relationship was found between fear of missing out and lifestyle (r=0.689, p=0.000). The third hypothesis was tested with multiple linear regression, the results showed that social identity and fear of missing out have an effect on lifestyle (B=92.053, p=0.000ᵇ), with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.556, which means that social identity and fear of missing out together contribute 55.6% influence on lifestyle, while the remaining 44.4% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Keywords: Social identity, Fear of Missing Out, Lifestyle ABSTRAK Perkembangan zaman semakin modern masyarakat cenderung memilih untuk mengikuti trend terbaru sebagai gaya hidup. Seseorang yang gemar terhadap bidang otomotif ingin merubah tampilan motor untuk menunjang gaya hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh antara identitas sosial dan fear of missing out dengan gaya hidup pada pelaku modifikasi motor. Metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non probability sampling jenis quota sampling. Terdiri dari 150 responden para pelaku modifikasi motor di Kabupaten Bekasi. Data melalui studi pendahuluan, wawancara dan kuesioner psikologi variabel gaya hidup, identitas sosial, dan fear of missing out. Reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha masing-masing ralpha=0,857 (gaya hidup), ralpha=0,835 (identitas sosial), dan ralpha=0,882 (fear of missing out). Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan korelasi Rank Spearman. Hipotesis pertama, ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara identitas sosial dan gaya hidup (r=0,501,p=0,000). Hipotesis kedua, ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara fear of missing out dengan gaya hidup (r=0,689,p=0,000). Hipotesis ketiga diuji dengan regresi linier berganda hasil menunjukkan identitas sosial dan fear of missing out berpengaruh pada gaya hidup (B=92.053,p=0,000ᵇ), dengan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,556, yang berarti identitas sosial dan fear of missing out bersama-sama menyumbang pengaruh sebesar 55,6% terhadap gaya hidup, sedangkan 44,4% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.
