Abstract

This research explores the role of village government in administrative services in Cikarang Kota village, North Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, with particular focus on the administration in Cikarang Kota. The village government, as the lowest level government institusion, play a strategic role in providing public services to the community. This study aims to understand the extent to which the village government can meet admistrative needs of the residence and identify the challenges faced in the process. The approach used in this research is qualitative, employing non-participatory observation methods and secondary data analysis. Data ware collected through official document, reports, and field observations. The study found that administrative services in the village still face various obstacles, including a lack of trained human resource (HR), inadequate facilities, and sometimes inefficient procedures. Nevertheless, efforts are being Made by the village government to improve service quality through staff training and infrastructure enhacement. The results of this research indicate that the village government plays a crucial role in ensuring public acces to quality public services. However, to improve service effectiveness, it is necassary to increase HR capacity, reform the administrative system, and enhance supporting facilities. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for continuous improvement in public admistrative services at the village label to support inclusive and sustainable development. The recommendations proposed include increasing training for administrative staff, adding service facilities and simplifying admistrative procedures.
