Abstract

Low emotional awareness tends to make teenage students easily carried away by emotions and choose to act aggressively in solving problems, and influence of peer group also make teenage students to engage in aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between alexithymia and peer conformity with aggressive behavior in students. This research uses a qualitative method with the research subjects being male SMK students. This research data collection method uses FGD, research instruments that use psychological scales with Likert scale models consisting of aggressive behavior scales, alexithymia scales, and peer conformity scales. The quality of the instrument uses content validity and construct validity. Reliability test using cornbach alpha with results of r alpha = 0.831 for aggressive behavior scale, r alpha = 0.625 alexithymia scale, r alpha = 0.744 peer conformity scale. Data analysis techniques with descriptive analysis, assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing using spearman rank and multiple linear regression tests. The results of the correlation test are that there is a significant positive relationship between alexithymia and aggressive behavior because the sig value. <0.05 (p=0.000) and the correlation value (r=0.488) then there is a significant positive relationship between peer conformity and aggressive behavior because the sig value. <0.05 (p=0.027) and the correlation value (r=0.200). Then in the multiple linear regression test results there is an influence between alexithymia and peer conformity on aggressive behavior with a value (F = 43.519, p <0.000).
