Abstract
This research aims to analyze the use of digital literacy by students in increasing understanding of Islamic religious education at SMAN 1 Tambun Selatan. Digital literacy is an important skill in the information technology era, where access to various learning resources can support the educational process. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and questionnaires to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students and teachers. The research results show that students' use of digital literacy, such as the use of learning applications, social media, and other online resources, significantly increases their understanding of Islamic religious education material. Students who actively use technology in learning tend to have a better understanding and are able to apply religious concepts in everyday life. However, this research also found several obstacles such as lack of access to digital devices and lack of guidance in using technology effectively. Therefore, it is recommended that schools provide adequate technological facilities as well as training for teachers and students in optimally utilizing digital literacy to support Islamic religious education.
