Abstract
Tri Pebriansyah. 41182911190013. The Ethics of Teacher Ethics According to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and its Relevance to Contemporary Era Education. Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi. This research is motivated by problems related to the decline in teacher ethics in Indonesia, which can be seen from various deviant cases committed by unscrupulous teachers in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the ethics of a teacher according to KH. Hasyim Hasyim Asy'ari and describe the relevance of teacher ethics according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari with contemporary era education. This research uses qualitative research methods with library reserch data collection techniques. This research is a type of content analysis research, namely by analyzing various books and journals related to the discussion which then produces conclusions as an answer to the formulation of existing problems. The results of this research show that the book Adabul Alim Wal Muta'allim by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari explains there are three types of ethics that a teacher must have, namely: First, ethics towards himself contains 20 ethics. Second ethics when teaching contains 11 ethics, and third and ethics towards students contains 14 ethics. The relevance of teacher ethics according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari with contemporary era education, namely: Hasyim Asy'ari who emphasizes the personality of the teacher who is sakinah, khauf and khasanah to Allah in all movements, silence, words and actions, then the teacher must maintain authority by avoiding professions that can be considered unfit according to custom and sharia, and teachers always purify themselves from bad morals and adorn themselves with praiseworthy morals, then teachers must remain diligent and istikamah in learning and occupy themselves with compiling the knowledge they have gained, meaning that teachers must be diligent in writing written works such as books, journals, and other written works which are currently also carried out by teachers and lecturers. Thus it is clear that KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's opinion is still very relevant to be applied to education today. Then the ethics of teachers according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari when teaching are also relevant to the conditions of contemporary education, starting from before teaching, namely it is recommended to wash from major and minor impurity, unclean and wear perfume, and wear decent clothes. This suggestion is feasible for teachers in the contemporary era given the current conditions of rampant diseases caused by viruses, air pollution, and changing weather conditions. This can create comfort for teachers and students. Then in the learning process a teacher must be able to establish good interaction and communication with students in order to create an effective learning process.
