Abstract
School is not only a place to study but also a place to shape and build character, train ethics, and discipline. School is the gateway to the progress of a nation's civilization. civilization of a nation. This research is focused on, how to instill birr al-walidain values for students of Smpit Nurul Islam in Cikarang through yasin and tahlil activities, what values are instilled through yasin and tahlil activities, and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors of yasin and tahlil activities. This research was conducted at Smpit Nurul Islam in Cikarang. This research belongs to the type of qualitative descriptive research. Information about the research subject was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of the person in charge of the activity as well as with several students. The data method used in this research is the miles and Huberman pattern which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the research that has been conducted, show that the cultivation of birr al-walidain values for students at nurul islam dismpit is carried out by the habituation method, the sima`i method, the exemplary method and, which is found in the routine Friday morning yasin and tahlil activities. Meanwhile, the values of birr al-walidain that have been instilled through these yasin and tahlil activities are strengthening love and affection for parents, respect and courtesy to parents, student obedience to parents.
