Abstract
Many song are difficult for people to interpret, from internal and external factors of the song. The difficult that is often found is the use of figurative language that difficult to interpret. Sometimes people need to good understanding of the style of language contained in the lyrics. This study aims to examine the types of figurative language and retoris meaning used in the lyrics of revenge themes song. The song are Bad Blood, Swish Swish, Famous, and Look What You Made Me Do. This research focus for discussing the various kinds of figurative language used by the author in the song. And analyzeretoris meaning are used in the song. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. In additional, researchs also use stylistic studies to make it easier to complete this research.
