Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PEER TUTOR METHODS IN IMPROVING THE ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE THE QURAN IN HADITH QURAN LESSONS IN MTS HASANAH FATHIMIYAH LINDA MARATUL HANANA 41189903190006 In teaching and learning activities, a teacher is required to be careful in choosing learning methods that are in accordance with the subject matter. One of the appropriate learning methods for learning material of the Quran Hadith is the Peer Tutor method. The Peer Tutor Method is any form of effort to optimize the ability of students who have high absorption ability in one class to teach or transmit to their peers who have lower absorption ability. This research is included in qualitative research using the form of case studies and using a descriptive qualitative approach. In the data collection process, the author uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of the Peer Tutor method in MTs Hasanah Fathimiyah can run with satisfactory results for teachers and students, as evidenced by the Quran Hadith teacher here as a supervisor, determining tutors, helping organize groups, adjusting schedules, helping to overcome difficulties, and evaluating the learning process. Then the problems faced in applying the peer tutor method are the selection of tutors, students who do not want to be taught by their friends, and the allocation of time. Then the impact of applying this peer tutor method is quite positive, students become more active in the learning process, make students able to discuss with their groups, and can strengthen social relationships between friends.
